a vice could be, if there are different…types or variations of card, that they have to use designated ones on certains turns.

I have an idea for a card game
Idk what it would be called but the pitch is that you play as a villain character (i only have 3 ideas so far: the Sorceress, the Necromancer and the Maniac) and their decks all play in a certain style or have a theme.
You roll a die before you start the game to determine your “Master Plan” and your “Vice.” Its not guaranteed that any two games will be too similar this way, and what makes this idea interesting.
Your “Master Plan” is your overall objective for this specific game, and your opponents aren’t supposed to know what your scheme is until late in the game. An example could be something like doubling your life total or getting a certain few cards out on the board together.
Your “Vice” is a handicap that you’ll have to abide by for the entirety of the game. They all have to do with your character’s flaw or weakness. For example, one of the Maniac’s Vices is that he has to discard a card from his hand at the end of his turn.
And from there is where I have trouble. Making creatures for the decks would be simple enough, but I have trouble thinking up the Master Plans and the Vices. Anyone have suggestions for me? I can post individual spots for the characters I have so far if that’s easier.
